About the Red Bull Bursary Programme

Red Bull is excited to invite students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2025 academic year.

This bursary program is designed for students who actively participate in university sports while pursuing undergraduate degrees in any field of study. The bursary is available at select universities, including the University of the Western Cape (UWC), the University of Cape Town (UCT), the University of Johannesburg (UJ), the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), and Rhodes University (RU).

Successful candidates will be notified directly by Red Bull and/or their respective universities.

Eligibility Requirements for the Red Bull Bursary

To be eligible for the Red Bull Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Passion for Sport: You must have a strong passion for sports such as cricket, soccer, rugby, or other university sports.
  • Active Sports Participation: You must be actively participating in sports at your university.
  • Academic Performance: You must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree and maintaining good academic standing.
  • University Enrollment: You must be studying at one of the following participating universities: University of the Western Cape (UWC), University of Cape Town (UCT), University of Johannesburg (UJ), Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), or Rhodes University (RU).
