About the Toughees Bursary Competition 2024
Toughees, in partnership with BATA South Africa, is thrilled to announce the 2024 Toughees Bursary Competition as part of their “Made Tough” campaign. This competition offers students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 a chance to win a share of R200,000 to cover outstanding school fees for the 2024 academic year. Ten lucky winners will each receive R20,000.

Toughees Bursary Competition Details
- Prize Distribution: The prize money will be paid directly to the winners’ schools to settle outstanding fees. Each student’s school must provide an invoice detailing the amount owed, along with the student’s and parent(s)/guardian(s) details.
- Prize Allocation: Each of the 10 winners will receive R20,000. If a winner has more than one child at the same school, the R20,000 can be divided among each child’s fees.
- Notification: Winners will be contacted within 7 days of the competition’s closing date, no later than 15 March 2024.
- Publicity Consent: By entering, parent(s)/guardian(s) consent to Toughees using their child’s name and photograph for promotional purposes. However, they may request Toughees to remove their child’s details from any publicity.
- Exclusions: The competition is not open to directors, partners, agents, employees, or consultants of BATA South Africa, their family members, or any associated service providers.
Eligibility Criteria
To enter the Toughees Bursary Competition, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a legal resident of South Africa.
- Must be a natural person (not a juristic entity).
- The entrant (parent/guardian) must be over 18 years old.
- The child must be enrolled in Primary or High School (Grade 1 to Grade 12).
- Must agree to the Toughees Bursary Terms & Conditions.

- Purchase Requirement: Buy a pair of Toughees school shoes to qualify for entry.
- Submit Proof of Purchase: Submit your till slip/proof of purchase along with your name, surname, and email address via:
